The ending is complete and doesn’t leave the reader hanging however the rest of the characters are interesting enough, that I know for sure, I will read the other two books in the series to see how the other characters evolve. At no time does the reader feel that they have missed something. It is a stand-alone book even though it is part 2 of a series. It has enough intrigue along with the romance to keep you engaged. Once committed though there is no doubt that he will love and protect her at all costs.Ī light summer read that from the beginning keeps the reader turning pages. Although attracted to her since her birth he does not “get his romantic interest in her” and feels that he should only have brotherly feelings. Jax on the other hand is a product of his negative upbringing and has to work through why he might be “good enough” for Grace. I loved the character of Grace however she has the patience of an angel as she waits for Jax to sift through all of his past history and come to the conclusion that she is the one for him. But when a town secret surfaces, threatening to destroy everything they believe in, can the man who defended Grace from bullies as a child protect her now?
